  1. 1911
    FOUNDATION

    A company built around possibility.

    Domingo Resto establishes Resto Chemical Works, supplying process compounds and specialty preparations to a growing industrial market. A practical belief guides the business: discovery matters most when it can be put to work.

  2. 1934
    MERGER

    Norvale Alkali & Mineral Company

    Resto Chemical Works merges with Norvale Alkali & Mineral Company, combining formulation expertise with mineral-processing capabilities and establishing a broader industrial supply operation.

  3. 1958
    ACQUISITION

    Asterwick Industrial Salts

    The acquisition of Asterwick Industrial Salts expands the company’s capabilities in purification, controlled blending, and specialty inorganic compounds.

  4. 1976
    ACQUISITION

    Caldermere Polymer Works

    Caldermere Polymer Works joins the group, introducing polymer modification and engineered resins to a portfolio previously centered on process chemistry.

  5. 1992
    MERGER

    Vossmere Surface Technologies

    A merger with Vossmere Surface Technologies brings functional coatings and protective material systems into the business. The combined organization adopts RESTO CORP as its parent-company identity.

  6. 2006
    ACQUISITION

    Cresswell Interface Laboratories

    RESTO CORP acquires Cresswell Interface Laboratories, adding research capabilities in conductive films, responsive gels, and material compatibility at sensitive interfaces.

  7. 2011
    DIVISION ESTABLISHED

    Lab X71 opens a new field of inquiry.

    Lab X71 is established as a dedicated experimental research division, bringing selected advanced-material programs together to investigate proprietary formulations and novel applications.

  8. 2016
    ACQUISITION

    Orlith Encapsulation Systems

    The addition of Orlith Encapsulation Systems extends research into protective microenvironments, compound stability, and controlled material activation.

  9. 2019
    ACQUISITION

    Meridian Vale Applied Sciences

    RESTO CORP acquires Meridian Vale Applied Sciences, expanding its analytical evaluation capabilities and strengthening the connection between exploratory research and industrial development.
